Development Director

Objectives of the position: As an ambassador of Jesus Christ, position is responsible for managing a program designed to attract the maximum support possible through donors, grants, foundations, fundraising as well as church and community engagement to meet organization budget and goals of Board of Directors. Responsible for public relations, marketing, communications and publications related to development.

Reports to: CEO Supervises: Volunteer development team Status: Full time exempt

 

Essential Functions

1. Oversees all marketing and event activities, including annual giving, capital campaigns, special fundraising events, endowment drives, and other organization-related solicitations

2. Oversees all functions related to marketing center events and activities including public & media relations, social media networks, publications, communications, and advertising.

3. Report, in a timely manner, the monthly and annual progress, effectiveness, and efficiency of development programs conducted by the center; identify problems in meeting objectives and recommend solutions

4. Represent the ministry in churches, organizations and other public forums to enhance development efforts of the pregnancy center.

5. Coordinates donor and gift record-keeping including software management.

6. Assists CEO in managing engagement with local churches and community.

7. Develops and assists with developing proposals for grant, foundation and corporate funding.

8. Attends appropriate Board/committee meetings including Development, Marketing, Finance.

9. Performs other duties as assigned by the CEO.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Committed Christian who demonstrates a relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

2. Exhibit strong commitment and dedication to the pro-life position & sexual integrity message.

3. Agree with and be willing to uphold the Statement of Faith, Statement of Principle, and policies of the center.

4. Has bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related field, or related equivalent experience.

5. Has two years of experience as a volunteer or employee in ministry.

6. Has two years of experience in marketing, fund-raising, and public relations/development

7. Exhibit strong skills in interpersonal communication, public speaking, writing, and effective media relations.

8. Able to use computer software applications and other technology in performance of duties.

9. Able to provide spiritual leadership, encouragement, direction for volunteer team members.

10. Able to carry out responsibilities with little or no supervision.

Office Administrator

Objectives of the position: As an ambassador of Jesus Christ this position provides administrative and secretarial support for the Pregnancy Center operations. Major duties include record keeping, data entry, word-processing, and bookkeeping including payroll.

Reports to: CEO
Status: Non-Exempt – Full-time

Full Job Description:
The NEXT STEPP Center is looking for a talented Office Administrator who wants to
make an impact in the lives of others.

 

Specific Duties

1. Organizes and maintains administrative, financial, personnel and archival files for the organization, both electronic and paper, in an efficient manner. Ensures client, volunteer
and contributor files are maintained accurately and timely.

2. Prepares a variety of reports on financial, administrative and/or organizational activities; Gathers information, prepares and submits reports in a timely manner to appropriate agencies/funders.  May assist with compiling the annual budget.

3. Maintains accurate records of income according to income source. Records and prepares income for deposit as well as invoices for disbursement including payment of invoices; interacts with vendors to answer questions or resolve account or billing discrepancies.

4. Handles routine office communications: Composes and/or types standard correspondence, reports, other documents; receives and distributes all written, fax, email, and phone communications to appropriate personnel in an efficient manner. Efficiently maintains all types of incoming and outgoing communications and assures that routine communications, i.e. thank you letters are timely.

5. Performs payroll recordkeeping and reporting including reports and payments to employees, government entities and taxing authorities.

6. Ensures sufficient supply of forms, brochures, and supplies at all times.  Places orders for client, office and general supplies in a timely fashion.

7. Proficiently uses all appropriate software applications in the completion of assigned
duties.

8. May assist in providing services to clients on an as-needed basis. May also assist with scheduling of volunteers as assigned by director.

9. Performs other duties and projects as assigned by the director.

Minimum Qualification & Skills

1. Committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord; Strong commitment and dedication to the pro-life position.

2. Agrees with and willing to uphold the Statement of Principle, Statement of Faith, & policies of the center.

3. High school diploma or equivalent.

4. Able to operate standard office equipment including computers, copiers, calculators, fax machines, etc.

5. Able to proficiently operate Microsoft office and other software applications.

6. Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Able to follow oral and written instructions.

7. Two years prior administrative/assistant experience or experience in related field
preferred.
